Privacy Policy for FMoIP

FMoIP ("the app") is a mobile application for discovering and streaming FM radio stations over the internet. This policy explains how we handle information in relation to the app.

No first-party user database

We do not operate our own backend that stores user profiles for this app. We do not offer in-app FMoIP account creation, and we do not maintain our own user account database with names, emails, or similar identifiers.

Some data may still be transmitted off-device by platform providers or third-party SDKs used in the app (for example app store billing, ads, diagnostics, and analytics). That processing is described in this policy and is governed by those providers' terms and privacy policies.

Data on your device

The following are stored only on your device and are not sent to us or stored by us:

• Preferences: Language, theme (e.g. dark/light), list size, data saver, recording quality and mode.
• Favorites: Your list of favorite stations and favorite recordings (stored locally).
• Subscription status: Subscription status (whether you have an active in-app subscription) is managed by Google Play (on Android) or the App Store (on iOS). We do not run our own subscription or billing systems. The app only asks the store whether you have an active subscription and may store that result locally so it can hide ads without asking every time. We do not maintain a separate database of subscribers.
• Recordings: Any voice recordings you make are saved only on your device. We do not have access to them.

We do not upload this data to our servers because we do not run servers that store customer data.

Location

The app may use your device's approximate location to suggest a country for the station list (e.g. to show stations relevant to your region). We do not run our own servers for location storage. Depending on enabled services/SDKs, location-related signals may be processed by third parties as disclosed below.

Google Play Data Safety disclosure

For Android distribution, we disclose data handling in Google Play Data Safety based on app behavior and included SDKs. Data types that may be collected and/or shared include:

• Approximate location: Used for app functionality (country suggestion) and may be used by third-party SDKs for ads/analytics where applicable.
• Purchase history: Subscription and purchase status handled by Google Play or Apple App Store billing systems.
• App interactions: Usage events may be processed for app functionality, analytics, and ad measurement.
• Crash logs: Crash and stability diagnostics may be processed by third-party services for app reliability.
• Device or other IDs: Device/app identifiers may be processed by third-party SDKs for analytics, fraud/security protection, and advertising functions.

These data flows can include both collected (transmitted off-device for processing) and shared (transferred to third parties), depending on enabled features and SDK behavior.

Encryption in transit

Data transmitted off-device by the app and integrated services is intended to be sent over encrypted transport (such as HTTPS/TLS), subject to each third-party provider's implementation and policy.

Third-party services

The app uses services provided by others. Their use of data is governed by their own privacy and terms:

• Google Play / App Store: App installation, updates, and in-app purchases (including subscriptions) are processed by Google or Apple. Their privacy policies apply to that processing.
• Advertising (Google AdMob): If you use the free version of the app, ads may be shown via Google AdMob. Google's advertising and privacy policies apply: Google Privacy Policy.
• Radio station data: The app uses publicly available information (e.g. station names, stream URLs, countries) from public sources to list radio stations. We do not control or produce this data.

User controls and choices

• Location: You can deny or revoke location permission in your device settings.
• Subscriptions: Purchases, renewals, and cancellations are controlled through your Apple or Google account settings.
• Ads and consent: Where available, ad/privacy choices are provided through consent prompts and platform controls.

Data retention and deletion

Because we do not maintain a first-party user account backend for the app, we do not provide an account-based deletion portal. App data stored locally on your device can be removed by clearing app data or uninstalling the app. For data processed by third parties (such as app stores or advertising providers), retention and deletion are governed by those providers' policies and controls.

Radio station content – not our responsibility

The app only helps you find and listen to streams from third-party radio stations. We do not create, host, or control the audio or any other content that those stations broadcast. All programming, music, talk, and any other content are the sole responsibility of the respective radio stations and their operators. We are not responsible for the nature, accuracy, or legality of what third-party stations broadcast. If you have concerns about specific content, please contact the station in question.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will be revised when we do. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
